She graduated from documentary filmmaking at Academy of Performing Arts, Faculty of Film and Television, Prague. She is specialized in documentaries with long-time-horizons or involving interesting figures of the 20th century. She has shot over fifty documentary films of various lengths. In 2006-2007, she was the Minister of Culture for the Czech Republic.
