Irena Hejdová (1977) studied scriptwriting and dramaturgy at the Film Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU). During her studies she won several prizes for her school scripts. Her graduation script Děti noci (Night Owls) was produced by Negativ in 2008 and received two Crystal Globes for Best Actor and Best Actress at the Karlovy Vary IFF. In 2010, her adaptation Petra Hůlová’s novel of Paměť mojí babičce (All This Belongs to Me) received Special Mention at the ScripTeast workshop.
