About the film

Young Anna, on the run from a military high school to which her father sent her, hitchhikes a car driven by a crazy driver Speedy. He takes her to Prague, where he introduces her to his friends. A group of young people living in a shared household offer Anna a place to sleep. The naive Anna accepts the superficial game of her hosts until she realizes that the comfortable bubble of her new friends forms an obstacle to her own happiness and love. The individual sequences are introduced by a shot of a starry sky, at first sight relativizing the mindless dialogues and purposeless hanging out of the heroes. Whisper is a low-budget film in which lifestyle plays an important role, connected with modern music, drugs, and sexual differences. The work deliberately does not seek to be a psychological or sociological probe. It also renounces moral assessment. At a leisurely pace, the creators build an original love story filmed seemingly unwittingly. The cast also reflects this idea: Tatiana Vilhelmová joins the duo of non-professional actors Jan P. Muchow and Jan Čachtický.
